look for better plastic gear material

our life test is same as your description 6 items.

The life test failure is because the helical gear, not the worm.

We have used the thin worm teeth and the thick helical gear teeth showed as below picture, and have used

PA66+30%GF and PA46+50%GF, but the life test still were not passed completely.

We have used the thin worm teeth and the thick helical gear teeth showed as below picture, and used PA66+30%GF and PA46+50%GFmaterial, but the life test was not still passed completely.

We may prepare to use better material......(but cost question?!)

For the helical gear, we also used the powder sinter material(SMF5040), the worm and the helical gear are normal teeth, but the noise and the life test were not still very perfect, the most of product can pass the life test, there are less ones not to pass the life test.

HOPE to be able to have other better methods(including material,tooth profile,even gear's kind...etc) to reslove the life and the noise of this kind of the worm and the helical gear operation for whole machine to have ideal status, please kindly advise......

Hello, Ericao,
1、建议增大重合度,在你的蜗轮蜗杆设计参数中,重合度比较低,仅为1.5左右,这也是导致塑料斜齿轮强度降低的一个原因。
     一般来说,蜗杆+斜齿轮的设计,重合度要大于2.0;
2、由于蜗杆转速较快,摩擦生热,要选择耐高温的油酯;
3、建议将模数由1.25增大到1.50;
4、建议使用材料EMS GV-5H试一下。

1. The pressure angle from 20 degree to 14.5 degree, not only to increase tooth top thichness, but also to

increase contact ratio and overlap ratio;

2. I have used the high_temperature , high_speed, high_pressure gear grease;

3.If using 1.5 module, the middle of worm will be no meat, the shaft diameter of motor is to have limit(10mm);

4.Please ask, what material is EMS GV-5H?

EMS GV-5H是尼龙-6T-50%玻璃纤维,全称NYLON GRIVORY GV-5H,原料商是瑞士EMS-GRIVORY(埃姆斯化学)公司。该材料在高温、高湿条件下具有较强的抗蠕变能力。材料物性见附件图片。
Ericao,你能否提供电机的以下性能:
1、电机的空载转速;
2、电机最高效率点的输出扭矩和输出转速;
3、电机输出最高功率时的输出扭矩和输出转速;
4、电机的最大输出扭矩以及此时的转速;
5、电机的堵转扭矩。

Hello, Ericao,
根据你提供的电机性能参数,计算塑料斜齿轮的输出扭矩及输出转速如下,从计算结果可以看出,当电机输出最大功率时(802.5W),斜齿轮的输出扭矩为11.7N.m, 输出转速为529RPM, 这是较大的扭矩和较高的转速,如果电机输出最大扭矩,此时斜齿轮输出的扭矩更大了,这对于模数仅为1.25的斜齿轮,无论使用任何塑料材料制作,都会存在非常大的扫齿或断齿风险,如果使用金属材料制作斜齿轮,容易产生噪音,并且蜗杆将会很快磨损变薄、变锋利直至失效。所以,我斗胆建议如下:
1、用“蜗杆+蜗轮”传动取代“蜗杆+斜齿轮”传动。
2、将模数由1.25增大到1.5。由于目前你的电机轴外径是10mm,需将蜗杆与电机轴分开制作,然后过盈装配,或者,将 电机轴的外径增大到12mm, 轴的小前段与蜗轮啮合的部份用于制作蜗杆,轴的大后段经机加工到直径为10mm,用于压装矽钢片制作转子,这样电机轴与蜗杆仍然是一个整体。
3、材料仍用你之前使用的PA46+GF50或PA46+GF30。

Hi, Stone,

Our machine has 6 speed setting, almost  the biggest speed setting also doesn't use motor's  maximum output  torque status, in general , the broken teeth should not be able to take place for 1.25 module worm and PA plastice helical gear.only its less product's life can't keep to end abrasion.
Our product's gear box size is to have limit, can't add bigger according to your proposal, and the worm wheel's design ,manufacture and assembly is more truoble than the helical gear.
