Mechanical Design Engineer, Global Actuators Project, Tianjin

Description:

lA Mechanical Engineer is for the development of mid to high volume electro-mechanical actuators for the commercial HVAC market. The Mechanical Engineer will successfully drive the development of design concepts into realistic products that meet performance, quality, budget and timeline requirements through cooperation and leadership of a worldwide new product development team.

lKey Duties & Responsibilities:

lGenerate comprehensive product requirement specifications by participating in discussions with customers and marketing

lDesign, prototype, test and evaluate concepts based on the compromise between performance and cost making justified decisions backed by sound engineering principles

lCompress product development cycle through strategic utilization of computer modeling, analysis and prototyping

lOptimize designs for manufacturability by collaborating with component suppliers, process engineers and production facilities

lPrepare and coordinate preparation of engineering documentation such as drawings, ECO抯, BOM抯, analysis reports and specifications

lIdentify, select and qualify component suppliers through interaction with purchasing and supplier quality

lWork with and gain acceptance from product approval bodies (UL, CE, etc)

Qualifications:

lMinimum Education:

lBachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, Master Degree preferred

lEnglish skills CET-4 or above

lMinimum Experience:

lThree years in design and development of Actuator, Electromotion Valve, electro-mechanical products

lTechnical Skill Requirements:

lKnowledge & experience in gear chain calculate, analysis and gear manufacture process, be familiar in plastic and powdered metal gearing.

lProficiency in 3D CAD software, Pro-E experience is prefer

lProficient use of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance analysis

lExperience in the design and analysis of injection molded plastic, powdered metal, aluminum die cast & stamped metal components

lExperience packaging electronic and mechanical components

lCandidate Must:

lProven ability to interact and communicate daily with global remote design sites

lKnowledge and proficiency in Design for Six Sigma skills for design and process improvement is desirable

lEnglish communication skill

lThree years in the design and development of high volume, low cost, electro-mechanical products
