Principle Engineer for Global Actuators Project

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

lProvides expert advice and consultancy services.

lInfluences colleagues and customers on technical issues.

lProvides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.

lShows technical leadership in areas of expertise and provides valuable input into other areas.

lActs as a role model, mentor and coach for other team members.

lProvides internal training & consulting on implementation tools, standards and techniques.

lShares responsibility for achieving team goals.

lActively listens and helps other team members to understand various viewpoints.

lWorks to agreed schedules and goals.

lProficient at several aspects of development from specification, design, testing, and support using established standards.

lInitiates and develops new techniques.

lIs regarded as an expert in applying several of the relevant technologies and development tools.

lWorks on complex developments.

lWorks within established operating procedures and ensures work products are compliant with standards.

lFacilitates or leads work products reviews, operating procedure reviews and quality improvement teams.

lCoaches other team members on intent, approach and use of operating procedures.

lIdentifies key opportunities for process improvement.

lMulti-use of DFSS tools in product design.

Minimum Education:

lMaster Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, Doctor Degree preferred

lFluent English in writing, reading, listening and speaking

lMinimum Experience:

l12 years in the design and development of high volume, low cost, electro-mechanical products

lHas participated in all facets of at least eight major releases of product or eight major projects

Candidate Must:

lDemonstrate strategic problem solving skills utilizing ig picturethinking as well as solving day to day challenges quickly and effectively

lHas a broad understanding of relevant markets.

lHas excellent knowledge of the development environment and/or application.

lHas excellent problem solving skills and resolves complex technical issues.

lCapable of researching and proto-typing to enumerate potential options and justify recommended approaches

lHas good specialist product, application or service knowledge and understands how these can be integrated together to meet customer needs.

lIs aware of technological advances that may be relevant for our business.

lHas excellent attention to details.

lHas consulting and facilitation skills

lHas project management skills

lHas auditing skills
